Disney Designer's Graystone Manor Theme Park in La Canada

La Canada-Flintridge, California's Graystone Manor was originally built in 1937, but in 1971, Disney theme park designer Robert F. McDonnell and his family started remodeling it and kept touching it up throughout the decades until it was sold in 2012 for $1.4 million.

McDonnell was the senior designer for Disney and wanted to “create the house "in the storybook style that has entertained millions of visitors at the Disney parks."

Graystone sits on a quarter of an acre of land and has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, stained glass, wrought iron hardware, two-car garage, and "an English Pub style wet bar with custom carvings all around."

Horsetail Fall, located in Yosemite National Park in California, is a seasonal waterfall that flows in the winter and early spring.

The fall occurs on the east side of El Capitan. If Horsetail Fall is flowing in February and the weather conditions are just right, the setting sun illuminates the waterfall, making it glow orange and red.This natural phenomenon is often referred to as the "Firefall", a name that pays homage to the manmade Firefall that once took place in Yosemite.

This waterfall descends in two streams side by side, the eastern one being the larger but both quite small. The eastern one drops 1,540 feet (470 m), and the western one 1,570 feet (480 m), the highest fully airborne waterfall in Yosemite that runs at some point every year.

The waters then gather and descend another 490 feet (150 m) on steep slabs, so the total height of these waterfalls is 2,030 ft (620 m) to 2,070 ft (630 m). The image shown here is taken during a brief time during the winter, near February 21 at sunset, made famous by Galen Rowell's photograph.

Pacific Environments Architects Ltd. is responsible for this childhood dream come true restaurant placed on the north part of Auckland, New Zealand. The Yellow Treehouse Restaurant is constructed on a 40 meter high redwood tree, and is bound to take the breath away from many a young treehouse lover, as well as his parents.<br />

The entire construction was fairly simple, but the result is stunning. The restaurant is consisted of plantation poplar planks and redwood balustrading. The restaurant is shaped like a cocoon around the tree and, since the planks are not placed closely next to each other, it is filled with natural light and fresh air.<br />

The two rounded parts are accessed via an elevated Glulam path that fits the rest of the restaurant perfectly. At night the Yellow Treehouse restaurant, as well as the path, is illuminated by warm-colored lights that give it a romantic and natural shine that in no way reduces the value of nature around.<br />
